Perfume Collection

I used to think that I would wear one perfume as my signature scent. Then, I was told by a salesperson at a perfume store that it’s better to build up a collection to match with different times of day and different outfits. Since then, I’ve been working on building up my perfume collection. I love how a certain scent can have the power to change your mood and aura, and even get you a few compliments along the way!

All of the bottles I have are Eau de Parfum, which means there is a higher perfume concentration compared to Eau de Toilette. I tend to like a heavier perfume that lasts all day, but, if you prefer a lighter scent, I would go with an Eau de Toilette.

Chanel No 5

Chanel No 5 is Chanel’s most popular perfume; it’s also the most iconic fragrance in the world. This was my very first perfume, and it will always hold a special place in my heart. The scent is timeless and classic, just like Chanel. To me, it smells very powdery, and it is an extremely rich and powerful perfume. The complex fragrance is a blend of scents such as rose, ylang-ylang, and jasmine — along with vanilla, amber, and patchouli. The bottle is also a piece of art practically, instantly dressing up any vanity or dresser.

Coco Mademoiselle

Coco Mademoiselle is a younger, more playful Chanel perfume. It’s an Oriental fragrance, with notes of orange, Turkish rose, and patchouli. It’s very warm and floral, yet fresh and enchanting. This one is much less intense than Chanel N0 5, and I would recommend this one to start your perfume collection. Coco Mademoiselle is vert soft and feminine, and good for all ages. It comes in a bottle much like Chanel No 5, except it has a clouded cap.

Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming

Usually before I buy anything, especially perfume or cosmetics, I do a lot of research. However, for this one, I only tried it once and read a couple of reviews online. It’s very powdery and rich — but still a wonderful and colorful perfume. It has a top note of red berries (which you can immediately smell if you sniff the bottle). Once the perfume dries, you can smell peonies and grasse rose. Finally, the base is made up of white musk notes. The bottle is absolutely darling, especially with the little bow and houndstooth pattern on the bottom.

Chanel Chance Eau Tendre

I was recently gifted this perfume from my best friend for my 18th birthday, and I have fallen head-over-heels in love with it. It’s a fruity-floral scent, perfect for spring and summer. However, it is so fresh and classy, that I plan to wear it all year round. It has key notes of grapefruit, quince, rose accord, and white musk. It’s very soft, yet incredibly radiant. The round bottle is very elegant, along with the silver cap and gold accents.

Chanel Chance Shimmering Scented Gel Trio

These three gel perfumes are so cute. They are all part of the Chanel Chance collection. The pink/purple one is Chance Eau Tendre, which is the one I have in the bottle. The pink/peach one is Chance Eau Vive, which is a fresh citrus fragrance with notes of jasmine and cedar-iris. The green one is Chance Eau Fraiche, which is a fresh fruity floral with notes of citron, jasmine, and teakwood. The shimmering gel is very silky and soft. When I wear it, I apply it to my wrists, neck, and behind my ears. Unfortunately, this collection was limited edition. However, Chanel currently has Chance perfume crayons, which is another alternative to a liquid perfume.
